D.PROVIZOR x OHAD BENIT.
As soon as Ohad told me about the concept store he was designing for Ronen Chen and the opportunity to be part of it, I was thrilled.
▶ Ohad Banit is an artist and designer who specializes in conceptual art and design; I found his work inspiring and I deepened my desire to work on bigger projects myself. Ronen's Chen project was just what I was looking for. Ronen Chen is an Israeli fashion designer and owner of a fashion brand that bears his name.
▶ We wanted to use earthy colors in the store, with ceramic objects such as display surfaces, pots, and vases that would contrast with the metal work displayed throughout.
I left the ceramic pieces exposed, with no glaze, just the way I like them. All of them have a base of white clay mixed with different browns.
▶ For the first time I have created such large surfaces, vases at this height, and pieces especially designed for display in the store - such as wallets, sunglasses, and jewelry.
▶ It was no small challenge, but to see everything in front of me, being used, filling me up and leading me in the direction I need to go was the most fulfilling experience of all.
